On World Mental Health Day (October 10, 2025), help us launch Faith & Mind Cameroon by training 10 community mental-health advocates to reduce stigma, support families, and connect people to care.

Why this matters

In many communities, people living with mental-health challenges are isolated by fear and stigma. Faith & Mind Cameroon will train trusted local advocates—church leaders, teachers, youth mentors—to recognize early signs, offer basic psychosocial support, and guide families to appropriate care. This practical, community-rooted approach saves time, money, and dignity.

$25 → Printed training workbook + handouts for 1 advocate
$50 → One field-outreach day (transport & refreshments)
$100 → Venue & materials for a half-day training session
$250 → Funds core training for 1 advocate (materials + sessions + follow-up)
$500 → Community awareness workshop (40–60 participants)

Our first milestone (Oct–Dec 2025)

Train 10 advocates with a practical curriculum (stigma reduction, basic support skills, referral pathways).
Community outreach: church/school talks, WhatsApp Q&As, small group sessions.
Safety & referrals: simple protocols to connect people to local clinicians and helplines.
Monitoring: short before/after surveys to track attitude change and confidence.

Who we are

I’m Dr. Clarisse Djeumo Djukom, a Cameroonian physician (additional medical training in Texas) committed to community-based mental-health advocacy. I’m working with Delphine and local partners in Cameroon to make this practical, respectful, and sustainable.

Looking ahead

This launch trains 10 advocates now; by mid-2026 we aim to scale to 60–80 advocates and formalize the network. We are preparing an application to the GlobalGiving Accelerator to expand our reach and credibility.
