MoDE Foundation exists to empower children with disabilities and their caregivers through educational advocacy and by promoting inclusivity. We do this through legislative advocacy, special education advocacy, and by empowering self-advocates and advocates.

With the help of a passionate parent who is determined to make this event happen, we are raising funds to bring Guy Stephens to Missouri, the founder of the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint. Guy has been instrumental in writing the latest materials for one of the most widely used restraint training programs in the country, CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute. MoDE Foundation passed the current seclusion and restraint law in Missouri back in 2021 and it can be found here: https://revisor.mo.gov/main/OneSection.aspx?section=160.263.

When we have raised the funds and are able to bring Guy to Missouri, this event will be open to parents and professionals. We highly recommend it for educators and administrators. We will host it on a Saturday in St. Louis and more details will be announced as we make this event a reality. All donors will be notified of final details for the event as they become available.
