Why we exist?

Our mission is to help individuals within the community that have an interest in serving in the military improve their physical capabilities to match and exceed the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) requirements.

Recruits are getting injured at an alarming rate in basic training. Army planners in recent years have become increasingly concerned over new recruits' declining physical fitness. Nationally, the South has the highest prevalence of obesity. Large swaths of the South have relatively low household incomes putting easy access to fitness training and healthy foods out of reach. In addition, basic supplies needed for camp may be out of reach due to a family’s financial situation.

Outreach Forty-Five (O.F.F) volunteers will provide the training within the Battle Box Wellness facility to help prevent injury and familiarize recruits with a health fitness regimen. Outreach will create simulated ACFT tests recruits are required to pass in an actual military bootcamp. In short, fitness equipment will need to be purchased, the facility layout will be modified & care pack supplies purchased. Prior to the recruits’ departure a care package will be issued. Phase I Military. Phase II Law Enforcement. Phase III Firefighters and so on. All programs will be on going.
