"At a time when diverse voices are being suppressed, and parts of our history in America are being erased, organizations like ours exist to ensure our collective stories are protected, nurtured, preserved, and amplified." Nani Shin, Executive Director

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation(PAAFF) is a platform that showcases and celebrates Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) stories and storytellers.

What began as a volunteer-run, grassroots initiative has since grown into a vital cultural institution. In 2024, our festival attendance increased by 200%, an extraordinary testament to the growing demand for diverse storytelling.

We serve the AANHPI community by curating programs that reflect the richness, complexity, and resilience of diasporic identities. This includes screenings of independent films, industry panels, community discussions, multidisciplinary performances, and cultural experiences that center on underrepresented voices and perspectives. Through partnerships with local community organizations, schools, and cultural institutions, we make our programming accessible and relevant to a wide range of audiences, ensuring that AANHPI stories are not only seen but deeply felt.

PAAFF is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are now accepting donations through this platform, Givebutter, in addition to PayPal.

If you are interested in donating non-cash assets (stocks & bonds, Donor Advised Funds, Airline or credit card miles and other in-kind goods or services, please reach out to our Executive Director at nani@paaff.org. Thank you for your support.
