ONE HOME. ONE FAMILY. ONE FRESH START.
Imagine losing everything in a matter of hours. Your belongings. Your memories. The place where your family felt safe.
For families in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, that nightmare has become reality.
Devastating flooding has left families without homes. Some lost houses. Others lost the RVs, fifth wheels, and campers they lived in full-time.
Those weren’t vacation trailers. They were HOME.
And now, those families are facing an unimaginable question: Where do we go from here?
That’s where a 9-year-old boy named Elijah decided he wanted to make a difference.
MEET ELIJAH.
Elijah is the founder of Penguin Pups, a small, child-led business in Pagosa Springs built on one simple belief: Purpose Over Profit.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Elijah, it’s that he doesn’t wait until he knows exactly how to accomplish something before deciding it’s worth trying.
He gets a big idea. We face an uncertain path. And somehow, that boy always finds the determination to take the first step anyway.
When he learned how many families had lost their homes, his idea was simple:
What if we could help one family get a home back? And then do it again?
We didn’t know where to start. So we started asking questions.
And those questions led us to something incredible.
PENGUIN PUPS HAS OFFICIALLY PARTNERED WITH EMERGENCYRV!
EmergencyRV is an established nonprofit dedicated to helping families displaced by natural disasters by providing RV housing.
Together, we’re raising funds to help families affected by the Pagosa Springs flooding, including:
• Families who need temporary RV housing while their homes are repaired or rebuilt.
• Families who lost the RV, camper, or fifth wheel they called their permanent home.
YOUR DONATION CAN HELP MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
Our first fundraising milestone is $5,000, but our hope is to help as many families as possible.
Every contribution brings this recovery effort closer to providing safe shelter and a chance to begin again.
This fundraiser is part of EmergencyRV’s official Pagosa Springs Flood Recovery campaign. Donations made through this page support that nonprofit-led recovery effort.
We can’t bring back what the floodwaters took. We can’t replace every photograph, every keepsake, or every memory made within those walls.
But together, we can help families take the next step toward having somewhere safe to call home.
Maybe it’s $5. Maybe it’s $50. Maybe all you can do right now is share this page.
Every act of generosity matters.
Because behind every home lost is a family trying to figure out what comes next.
And behind this fundraiser is a little boy who believes that even the biggest problems are worth trying to solve.
One home. One family. One fresh start.
And then, together, we try to help the next.
With love and gratitude,
💜 Elijah & Casey
