It Takes Partners to Keep Pets Home

For nearly two decades, AnimalVillageNM has worked to prevent animal suffering before it begins. Since 2007, our PAW — Partners for Animal Welfare — program has helped make more than 10,000 spay and neuter surgeries possible for New Mexico pets.

Today, we’re expanding what prevention means.

For a family struggling financially, keeping a beloved pet can depend on more than love. Affordable veterinary care matters. So does help with behavior and training. Basic pet supplies matter. Education and access to trusted resources matter.

That’s why we’re bringing the Partners in PAW to life.

Veterinary Partners help provide essential medical care and spay/neuter services.

Training Partners help guardians understand their dogs, address behavior challenges and build successful lifelong relationships.

Corporate and Community Partners provide pet supplies and resources that ease the burden on families.

Prevention Partners — people like you — provide the financial support that makes this work possible.

Together, we’re building a network around pets and the people who love them.

What your partnership makes possible

AnimalVillageNM currently contributes $200 toward each qualifying spay/neuter surgery, while participating families contribute an affordable co-pay. Our assistance also helps provide rabies vaccination, microchipping and pain medication as part of our prevention program.

And we’re building beyond the surgery itself — connecting families with training resources, donated pet supplies, education and other support that can help pets remain successfully in their homes.

Our goal: $20,000 + 50 new Prevention Partners

We’re working to raise $20,000 by December 31 while building a community of 50 new monthly Prevention Partners who believe prevention should continue all year long.

A monthly gift doesn’t have to be large to matter. When many people become Prevention Partners, small gifts become reliable veterinary care, resources and opportunities for families who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.
