PBTC is a 501c3 non-profit organization and is looking for support from members, local businesses and corporations to help fund ongoing club improvement projects.

Improvements include

• a private bathroom enclosure (comfort station)
• bleachers for court 1
• ongoing court maintenance (scheduled mandated court resurfacing)
• windscreen replacement
• permanent shade structures
• clubhouse pergola structure
• landscaping restoration
• new benches
• & more

The Pacific Beach Tennis Club has a rich history in the San Diego community. PBTC was founded in 1961 when a group headed by Dr. James Grant raised sufficient funds to construct six courts on land that the city of San Diego provided. Subsequently, a small clubhouse and two additional courts were added as well as the present lighting system. 

PBTC’s mission is to provide a social experience that caters to people of all ages and abilities who share a passion for racquet sports including tennis and pickleball. PBTC’s programs are designed to create a welcoming environment for all types of players ranging from novice to advanced. 

With the continued support from our members and local businesses we can continue to make club improvements needed to make this a haven for our members.
