Join us for our Third Annual PCHS Walk for the Animals

Gather with fellow animal lovers to raise funds for animals in need. Register, raise funds, bring your furry friend (or not), and support animals in need. This event will include a 5k walk, participant pledge challenges, food trucks, and more fun activities for the whole family.

Pre-register for the event and join the movement to support animals in need! Create your own team, invite friends and family to support your walk, and take part in our pledge challenge to help raise funds for PCHS.

Sign-up before September 1st to guarantee your shirt and goodie bag.

With your registration, you will receive a pledge tracking form and/or an online pledge profile where your supporters can donate directly towards your fundraising page, a free t-shirt, and a free goodie bag.

Pledge fundraising is optional, but it’s an easy way to double your impact! By asking friends, family, and community members to support you, you can help raise even more funds to provide lifesaving care for animals in need.

We will have door prizes, along with awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place top fundraisers and Best Dressed Dog, which will be presented at the end of our walk.

What we are raising money for:

By participating in the Walk for the Animals, every step you take and every dollar you raise helps provide a second chance for homeless, abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals in our community.

The Pope County Humane Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving animals the care, compassion, and medical attention they deserve while they wait for loving homes. Your support helps us provide:

Nutritious food and daily care
Veterinary exams, vaccinations, and life-saving medical treatment
Spay and neuter surgeries
Safe, clean, and comfortable shelter
Enrichment, training, and socialization
Foster care for vulnerable animals, including orphaned kittens, puppies, and animals recovering from illness or injury
Community programs that help keep pets with the families who love them

Every year, we care for hundreds of animals, many arrive needing far more than food and shelter. Some require emergency surgeries, extensive medical treatment, or weeks of rehabilitation before they're ready for adoption. Thanks to supporters like you, we're able to say "yes" to animals when they need us most.
