Perseverancia and UNISAL are excited to announce the first ever Charlotte, Nuevo Amanecer Fútbol Cup. This is a fundraising event for Perseverancia’s mission. An established 501c3 since 2023, Perseverancia has partnered with the Liceo Juan Calvino school to expand the school from a K-6 to a K-9 in all capacities. We recently remodeled an existing building and turned it into the 7th grade classroom! Our soccer tournaments support these initiatives, as all of the funds will be donated towards the project. UNISAL, a NC and Salvadoran nonprofit, are excited to support the mission as we look to support the education system in El Salvador through infrastructure, resources and cultural exchange.

The event will be a 6v6, single elimination soccer tournament with the goal of 40 total teams competing. The event will be held at Ramblewood Park, on Saturday, September 19th from 11am-4pm.

However, this is more than just a soccer tournament. Think of it as a festival, competitive soccer tournament on one side, food, drinks, activities, and music on the other.

Perseverancia and UNISAL are aiming to raise $50,000 for this event. This would directly build two classrooms, cover 3 teachers salaries for two years, buy required permits to open the classrooms, and equip three total classrooms.
