For nearly a decade, the JGS of Pittsburgh has been helping people uncover their Jewish roots — in Pittsburgh and around the world.

What started as a small effort to revive Jewish genealogy in our community has grown into an active society serving hundreds of members and offering programs, resources, publications, and opportunities to learn and connect.

In 2027, we want to keep that momentum going.

Your support will help the JGS of Pittsburgh continue bringing high-quality Jewish genealogy programs to our community, maintaining the resources our members rely on, and creating new opportunities for people to discover the stories of the people who came before them.

We are a volunteer-led organization, but running a thriving genealogy society still has real costs. Speaker honoraria and travel, technology, publications, facilities, and other program expenses all add up.

That is why we're launching our 2027 fundraising campaign during Family History Month.

Help the JGS of Pittsburgh make 2027 happen.

Every contribution, large or small, helps us continue doing what we do: helping people connect with their Jewish roots in Pittsburgh and abroad.

Thank you for being part of the JGS community — and for helping us build its next chapter.
