Celebrating 120 years in the beautiful city of Santa Monica, Phillips Chapel CME Church stands as the oldest CME Church in Southern California. Rooted and grounded in the Word of God through faith, hope, and service, Phillips Chapel has remained steadfast in sharing God’s love and serving His people.

Throughout the years, this legacy of love and devotion has continued through every pastor and congregation that has faithfully carried the mission forward. Phillips Chapel has truly lived out the words of Galatians 6:9: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” For 120 years, the church has continued to labor in faith, worship, and community service, trusting God through every season. This scripture reflects the enduring spirit of Phillips Chapel, a congregation that never gave up on its mission to uplift, encourage, and minister to generations of families throughout Southern California.

As image bearers of Christ, Phillips Chapel continues to share God’s Word, His love, and His hope with every person who walks through its doors. The church’s rich history is not only a celebration of years passed, but also a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the power of a united community committed to serving The True and Live God!!!

Although we are excited about celebrating the legacy of the church, we do recognize that the sanctuary must be revitalized. Prayerfully requesting donations to help us restore the sanctuary. We also support the greater mission of the church through missionary work both here in the United States and abroad.

Our efforts will also include fundraising initiatives for scholarships that will assist our missionaries, as well as help support our youth and young adults as they pursue higher education and future opportunities.
