PiA is relaunching full-year fellowships in China for the first time since Covid-19.

PiA is rooted in community. In 1898, Princeton students came together to raise $500, select, and send Pop Gailey, Graduate Class of 1896, to China. This launched the work of PiA’s predecessor organizations, making Pop Gailey our first Fellow. The collective generosity and commitment that made Pop’s journey possible are values that have defined PiA.

127 years later, we’re turning to our community to help PiA return to China. To mark this milestone, a group of current and former trustees has issued a $80,000 matching challenge.

Every dollar you give will be matched—doubling your impact and helping send the next generation of Fellows to China. This is more than a relaunch. It is a whole-of-organization effort to rebuild a strong and durable platform for immersive and transformative fellowships in China – where over 1,000 PiA Fellows and Interns have served.
