Founded in 2018, Volta Music Foundation brings tuition-free music education to students in underserved communities across South Florida and Latin America. We believe every child deserves access to the transformative power of music, regardless of zip code or income.

Volta removes the barriers that keep students from music: we provide free instruments, trained teaching artists, and structured curricula through our Afterschool Program at Title I schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, and community centers. Through our Link Up Program, in partnership with Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute, thousands of students in Broward and Palm Beach Counties experience a full year of music education culminating in a live symphony performance. Our Latin American Exchange Program sends teaching artists abroad to lead free masterclasses and workshops, while our E-Music Academy offers virtual lessons for students ages 7 through adulthood, with need-based scholarships available

Volta works on the principle of nurturing lives through music. We identify a strength or interest in a child, help build them with a music curriculum that allows the student to reach academic, social, and career success, and we look for a strength in each family in which to build confidence, family bonding, and achieve resiliency and self-sufficiency.
