What We're Building

Pitch Perfectly is the flagship event of GreenHause, an educational initiative by Gotoma dedicated to helping emerging producers learn the real behind-the-scenes work that goes into pitching industry ready projects.

On June 14th, the final day of Tribeca Film Festival, we're bringing together 100+ filmmakers at DCTV in Manhattan for a full day of workshopping, networking, and a live pitching showcase. The event is designed to help filmmakers break out of their shell by giving them a chance to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of industry executives and a live audience.

At GreenHause, we believe the best way to learn is by doing, and that’s why we build events like this, to give filmmakers opportunities they wouldn’t have sitting in a classroom.

What Film School Leaves Out

Film school is great for history, technique, and method. What it doesn't teach you however is how to walk into a room and make someone believe in your project. It doesn’t focus on the practical, real-world scenarios you’ll find yourself in, or how to navigate those situations with finesse and expertise.

For those who want to see their films get made, there’s a suite of skills and materials many emerging filmmakers often overlook. Not just the pitch, but the treatment, the logline, the budget, the lookbook, the marketing strategy. These are what producers should know as well as their own name, and building these materials takes precision and professionalism.

Pitch Perfectly was built to teach those skills.

Why Your Support Matters

We could charge more for tickets and call it a day. But that defeats the purpose. The filmmakers who need this most are the ones who can't afford a $500 workshop. They're working day jobs, making films on weekends, figuring it out as they go.

Your donation helps us cover the real costs of putting on a professional event, venue, production, catering, staffing, printed materials, and a $500 cash prize for the Grand Jury winner, without putting the financial burden on the filmmakers walking through the door.

The Community Showing Up

Over 30 sponsors and partners have already stepped up, including Adorama, Final Draft, Backstage, InkTip, WGAE, The Gotham Institute, Ghetto Film School, NYWIFT, American Cinematheque, Alliance of Women Directors, and many more.

Our judging panel features LeAnn Scrimmager (AMC Development Executive) and Emelyn Stuart (the first Black Latina to own an independent movie theater in New York), with additional panelists being announced.

The Grand Jury Prize package alone includes $500 cash, a year of Final Draft, Adorama equipment discounts, studio time, international distribution access, and a Gotoma consulting package, valued at thousands of dollars.

What Your Donation Makes Possible

We're raising $4,500 to bridge the gap between what ticket sales and sponsorships cover and what it actually costs to do this right. Your support goes toward:

→ Venue rental, production costs, and event staffing

→ Event documentation (photography and videography)

→ Printed program books and attendee materials
