We are JuandelPuebl0, NiNo and The Parliament Art Crew and are excited to announce this year’s art piece….PITIRRE!

🌟 A 2025 Burning Man Honoraria 🌟

El NiNo (aka Maestro) would like to introduce you to his mentee, JuandelPuebl0. Together, these two Puerto Rican artists are making waves in the Black Rock City community, with a fundamental goal of promoting climate change awareness in their homeland.

So, who is PITIRRE?

Pitirre, also known as the Gray Kingbird, symbolizes the spirit of our homeland, Puerto Rico. This project features a striking, interactive sculpture of the Pitirre, inviting the community to climb aboard, immerse themselves in its world, and embark on a journey to space as it sings.

PITIRRE is a fun, solar-powered, interactive installation in the shape of an oversized Gray Kingbird that will illuminate at night, calling all burners to explore it. During the day, explorers are invited to climb over Pitirre and take a trip to space.

Given the environmental challenges the people of our island have experienced in the last several years, we chose Pitirre as our forever call out to express the immediacy of taking action to conserve and protect the precious resources of Puerto Rico. In making the piece solar-powered, we also hope to continue promoting climate change awareness.

We are eager to continue our building process but we still need our community’s help!
