It began in Kamuli, a resilient district in Eastern Uganda, where the community of farmers under Bandera Farmers Network is reshaping what sustainable development looks like, starting with their soil.

In Kamuli, the first trees took root, planted near schools, homes, and gardens by local stewards. Mangoes and oranges for nourishment. Shade for classrooms. Income for caregivers. And through the process, a deeper sense of connection between people and planet, between a donor and a distant yet kindred community.

But this story doesn't end in Kamuli. It’s just the beginning.

In every community where changemakers are organizing, innovating, and dreaming, a tree can be a starting point. A symbol of commitment. A living resource. A shared future.
