Printmaking with Plants: Botanical Art Workshop

Join us at the 4Roots Farm Campus for a relaxing and creative Make & Take Workshop inspired by the beauty of the farm. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore botanical printmaking using leaves, flowers, and other plant materials sourced directly from our farm.

During this guided experience, you’ll learn how to use natural dyes and plant textures to create custom prints on canvas boards. Experiment with layering, composition, and color to design a piece you can display in your home!

Our team will walk you through techniques for transferring shapes and pigments from plant to canvas, helping you bring the outdoors inside in a meaningful and artistic way.

We’ll begin with a brief presentation highlighting how we prepare natural dyes and select materials from the farm, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the process. Then you'll will your own botanical artwork to take home and display.

Make & Take Workshops are monthly, beginner-friendly, hands-on experiences hosted by the 4Roots Farm team, designed to introduce our community to creative, sustainable DIY crafts inspired by nature. 🌿

Each workshop highlights an accessible, eco-friendly activity: from natural dyeing to botanical art and more, using materials sourced right here on the farm. Open to all ages, these sessions invite guests to learn new skills, explore the beauty of natural resources, and leave with a handmade creation to take home.
