Play It Forward 2025 is our initiative to share music with our communities.

We are the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy (ISA), a nonprofit that provides violin, cello, piano, and harp lessons for children starting from age four using the Suzuki Method. This method is more than just music lessons: through the partnership of the child, parent, and teacher, we help children grow in character while learning to play an instrument. Music is a powerful way to connect with others and give back to our community, and that is just what our students will do during “Play It Forward.“ Our academy-wide goal is to share 1000 songs with our community this September!

What: A student & parent-led music sharing initiative. ISA students strive to share 1000 songs and inviting friends and family to sponsor them as they “play” it forward this month.

When: September 1-30, 2025

Where: ANYWHERE

Why: Raise funds to support:

Student Opportunities: We provide numerous opportunities for students to perform in unique settings, interact with professional artists, and have enrichment opportunities.
Faculty Growth: Investing in faculty development is an investment in our students, empowering our faculty to learn and innovate to develop new ways to support our students and parents and enrich our programming.
Financial Assistance: This year, we increased the total amount of financial assistance awarded by 40%. Help us continue to provide this kind of support to make Suzuki education accessible.

Sign Up! Click the “Join Us” button to create your personal page.
Spread the Word! Reach out to 5–10 people—grandparents, friends, neighbors, teachers, or coworkers—and invite them to sponsor your child by text, email, social media, or even a handwritten note! We have prepared a Fundraising Toolkit to help you!
Play! Play & share at least five songs for your community! Check the song tracker your private teacher gave you for more info. Questions? Go to our Play It Forward page!
