Join Our Upcoming Community Event: the PLAY27 Fun Run!

The current Allen Brook playground is aging and frequently closed due to safety concerns. PLAY27 is our community effort to replace it. Our mission is to build a new, inclusive playground at Allen Brook School where imagination, movement, and community thrive. By doing so, we'll also create a more vibrant Williston.

The PLAY27 Fun Run is a fun, active way to bring our community together to raise money for the new playground. Kids have been asking how they can help and this event is it! Now it's your turn to help them!

The Day Of

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00–10:30 AM at Allen Brook School (rain date: Saturday, October 17). Kids of all ages are welcome to run or walk distances starting at a half mile and up, cheered on by family, friends, and neighbors from Williston and surrounding towns. This event is open to everyone, not just students at Allen Brook School.

Here's how it works: create a fundraising page and then ask family, friends, and local businesses to sponsor your run. Collect pledges or flat donations ahead of time, then get out and run or walk on event day. Every lap is a step toward a playground built to last for decades.

Double Your Impact: Boost Kids' Confidence & Help Them Earn Celebrations

Every dollar raised goes directly toward durable, accessible playground equipment. And we're celebrating milestones along the way: at $2,500, it's a Popsicle Party. At $5,000, it's Pajama Day. The more we raise, the more fun things kids earn! Extra recess? Yes, please!

Your support helps replace costly, one-off playground repairs with a lasting solution that benefits all kids, and it helps boost kids' confidence. They are creating the change they want to see!

Can't Make It to the Event? You Can Still Help!

Here's how you can help beyond the event:

1) Run or walk on your own time! Create your own fundraising page, gather pledges, and complete your run or walk on your own time, up until October 10, 2026, to help us build the new Allen Brook playground.

2) Donate! Visit willistonfap.wixsite.com/play27 to make a tax-deductible donation. PLAY27 is run in collaboration with Williston Families As Partners, a registered 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible.

3) Get involved. Reach out to play27committee@gmail.com with any questions about volunteering or to get involved beyond the Fun Run.

Join us to run, walk, donate, or volunteer and let's build a safe, welcoming place to play for every child in our community.

More Play. More Connections. Memories that Last. That's what PLAY27 is all about! 💛
