September is Children Cancer Awareness Month and for the third year now, I have organized online raffle baskets on the web to help fundraise for children in need.

The last two years my husband and I donated to The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and Larger Than Life non-profit organization.  This year, the funds raised will be dedicated to two deserving families. The first family is supporting an 11-year-old boy, Yisrael Scheinberger, who is courageously fighting a brain tumor and undergoing a trial treatment that is not covered by his insurance. The second family has tragically lost a heroic mother of nine, who succumbed to smoke inhalation while saving her children during a house fire. One of her children, Michael Ben Adina Batsheva, remains hospitalized with severe burns.
