What happens when a parent needs a little time to think, create, or just breathe?

Usually: a lot of juggling, a lukewarm cup of coffee, and a very bored toddler. I know because I've been there.

How It Started

When I became a mom, I felt stuck between full-time childcare I wasn't ready for and trying to do anything for myself with a little one on my lap. As a South Bay native, I knew so many parents around me felt the same way. Some were trying to keep a career going. Others were home full-time and quietly wondering, who am I now, and what's next for me?

How It's Going

Now I'm building Playceful Co-Work: a nonprofit workspace with on-site childwatch, where parents can have time and space for themselves while their kids play safely just steps away.

Play for Them. Peace for You.

That's Playceful: a place for all the good "-ful" feelings — grateful, hopeful, joyful.

A Place for Every Kind of Parent

Maybe you're meeting a work deadline. Maybe you're starting a side project, taking a class, or dusting off a dream you set aside. Maybe you just want an hour to read, reflect, and connect with other grown-ups who get it. Whatever brings you in, there's a seat for you here.

The Vision for Our Space

Desks and cozy work areas for whatever you're working on, from client projects to passion projects
Private phone booths and a bookable quiet room for calls, focus, or a moment of peace without the background noise of blocks falling
A gated, staffed play area for kids 6 months to 5 years, with a cozy baby zone for the littlest explorers
A nursing room and family-friendly bathrooms with changing tables
A flexible space for yoga, meditation, workshops, and community events
A coffee and tea station, for the cup you actually get to finish

The Goal

We're in the earliest stage, and that's when support makes the biggest difference. This first $25,000 helps us secure our home: a lease deposit, insurance, licensing, and our first furniture and play equipment.

Your Impact

$25 stocks the play area with books and sensory toys
$100 helps outfit a play station
$250 helps furnish a parent workspace
$500 helps build a private phone booth

Because we're a nonprofit, we can keep memberships accessible to families across the South Bay, not just those who can afford a premium workspace.

Let's Do This

Join the Village

Every parent deserves a village: a place to grow, connect, and remember who they are outside of nap time and snack duty. Whether you give a little or a lot, you're helping build one, and you'll be part of Playceful's story from day one.

Let's make life a little more playceful, together. 💛
