Dear Members & Friends,

As we begin planning for another fiscal year, I am writing to let you know we are grateful for your continued support and to ask you to participate in our annual pledge drive for FY 2026/2027.

At the First Unitarian Church, we know that a strong and vibrant community is built on shared responsibility. Your pledge provides:

Budget stability: Knowing the amount of pledged income allows us to set a realistic budget for the upcoming fiscal year, ensuring we can continue to offer meaningful Sunday services and programs and support our staff and volunteers.

Financial predictability: Pledged contributions give us the confidence to manage our resources efficiently, ensuring that the church’s ministries, historic building, and outreach to the community are well-supported throughout the year.

As you can see from the charts, however, currently the amount we receive annually in contributions does not cover the expenses for Sunday services. Our goal is to make progress toward closing that gap.

With that in mind, please consider increasing your pledge for the upcoming fiscal year, July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027, to the extent you are able. Spreading your pledge payments over the year can help make it possible to “Give till it feels good!”

Whatever amount you are able to contribute, your support is crucial to our success, and we are truly grateful for your partnership in advancing the ministry of the First Unitarian Church in New Bedford.
