Urgent Need: Help Atzee, Sabrina & Support Our Rescue Dogs

Pacific Northwest Cattle Dog Rescue is facing an immediate surge in critical veterinary costs. Right now, our highest priorities are Atzee and Sabrina. Atzee was recently saved from severe neglect and is currently fighting congestive heart failure is in need of a follow up vet appointment. Sabrina came down with a fever and infection after her spay surgery and racked up a vet bill of $1,009.

On top of Atzee's and Sabrina's care, new puppies just underwent essential spay/neuter surgeries to get them healthy and ready for adoption, driving our total medical expenses even higher.

Our medical bills have stacked up, and we cannot cover them without you.

Every dollar directly funds:

Cardiac care and daily medications for Atzee
Cover Sabrina's vet bill to treat her infection
Spay/neuter surgeries and routine intake care for our newest arrivals
Diagnostic bloodwork, treatments, and emergency care for future rescues

To our recent donors, volunteers, and supporters—thank you. Your ongoing generosity gives dogs like Atzee and our new arrivals the second chance they deserve.

Please donate today to help Atzee, Sabrina, and the other dogs in our care. If you can’t give right now, sharing this page makes a world of difference!

Every day, Pacific Northwest Cattle Dog Rescue steps in for dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or placed in situations that no longer fit their needs. Australian Cattle Dogs and cattle dog mixes—intelligent, loyal, high-energy dogs who are deeply misunderstood and often end up in the system through no fault of their own.

These are dogs who don’t just need homes. They need the right homes, the right structure, and people who understand what makes them who they are.

Right now, your support is helping dogs at every stage of that journey—from a senior dog needing advanced medical diagnostics to puppies just beginning their lives in foster care.

At Pacific Northwest Cattle Dog Rescue, we are able to:

Assess temperament and energy levels
Provide foster homes experienced with herding breeds
Offer structure, enrichment, and training support
Match each dog to a home that truly fits who they are
Give dogs time—often for the first time in their lives—to decompress and be understood

This work takes more time, resources, and hands-on care—but it is what gives these dogs the best chance at staying in their next home for life.

🧡 Why This Work Matters

Cattle dogs don’t fail in homes—they are often failed by mismatched expectations.

With the right structure and understanding, they become some of the most loyal, brilliant, and deeply connected companions you could ever know. But getting them to that point takes time, patience, and the right kind of rescue support.

That’s what you make possible.

From a senior dog finally getting answers, to puppies learning what safety feels like, to high-energy cattle dogs finally being understood—your support changes outcomes that would otherwise look very different.
