Your donation will help us purchase microphones such as the Shure SM58, Shure Podcasting Mics and Lavalier Mics, as well as a Rodecaster Pro Audio Mixer, Zoom H6 portable multichannel recorder, Mic stands, a Sony Alpha 2 DSLR, and more.

Our Indigenous Peoples Cultural Arts Healing Center (IPCAHC) aka Casa de Carnaval will be home to 16 cultural arts groups, The Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of San Francisco and youth in our community seeking a safe artistic space. This gear will be used to train young people in recording arts as well as to create podcasts documenting the art, culture and Indigenous healing practices created at our new center. Cultura y Arte Nativa De Las Americas (CANA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. For over four decades, we have preserved and celebrated the many heritages through culturally and linguistically-relevant dance, music, art, and by creating spaces for community learning, school-based education, advocacy and human services. The Indigenous Peoples Cultural Arts Healing Center, Carnaval San Francisco, the Mission Food Hub, and the Latin Jazz Youth Ensemble of SF are projects of CANA.
