Proceeds from the event will also provide scholarships to high school seniors and other special projects that make a difference in our communities.

HOW CAN I HELP SUPPORT THIS EFFORT?

Jumpers - Plunge into the refreshing water either by yourself or as part of a team. Be sure to ask friends, family, and co-workers to make a pledge to support your bravery (and a good cause)! Teams are encouraged to create a costume theme. It’s fun, and you might win a prize!
Chicken Plungers - If you are scared to jump, have health issues that prevent you from jumping, or are unable to attend, we encourage you to raise money to not jump. Non-jumpers will receive the same incentives as jumpers.
Sponsors - We are seeking local businesses, organizations, and individuals to donate $1,000 or more by March 1, 2024. Receive your name/logo on the event t-shirt; on a recognition poster at the event; and mentions in advertising. Contact Us: info@dovehealthcare.com or 715-552-0460

INCENTIVES, CONTESTS & AFTER PARTY

All jumpers are asked to raise a minimum of $100, however, any amount raised will help make a difference. All jumpers will receive the event t-shirt. Jumpers who raise $250 or more will also receive a hooded sweatshirt, and those raising $1,000 or more will receive an additional prize. Pledges must be turned in at check-in on March 16, 2024 to qualify for incentives.

SOME RULES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

Check-in - is from 1 to 2 PM at Dove Healthcare located at 2207 Duncan Rd., Bloomer
Rules, Water Depth, and More - All jumpers must wear footwear. You must sign the waiver at 1PM check-in and prior to jumping, and those under 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent/guardian. No wetsuits or birthday suits please. Costumes are encouraged, but need to be appropriate. The water depth will be waist to chest deep depending on your height, so you do not need to go under water (unless you want to)!
Bring With You - Please bring a towel to dry off with after you jump; footwear to jump in; and dry clothes/shoes. We will have heated buses available to take jumpers back to Dove Healthcare – Bloomer Assisted Living to change into dry clothes.
Safety First! - There will be carpeting around the hole so you do not slip, and we will have local fire fighters in the hole in dry suits to help you get to the ladder to instantly climb out after you jump. In other words, get in and get out! Risks: Those with hypertension or underlying heart issues should consult with their physician before participating in the Polar Bear Plunge.
