Discover the Importance of Pollinators at JBSWC!

Buzz on over for a day dedicated to the tiny heroes that keep our ecosystems thriving! Pollinator Day invites the whole community to explore the wetlands and learn all about native bees, butterflies, moths, and other pollinators that make our plants (and food!) possible. Wander through pollinator-friendly habitats, discover how to attract and protect these important species at home, and enjoy hands-on activities for all ages. Plus, don't miss two special classes led by a local beekeeper that includes a honey extraction demonstration video where you'll see firsthand how honey goes from hive to jar, and a hands-on hand cream making activity. It's a sweet, hands-on way to learn how pollinators support our world — and take a little piece of it home with you!

Schedule:

While the event will be come and go, we will have two classes and events scheduled:

10am-11:30am: Beekeeper Class: Honey extraction lesson and DIY hand cream experience

12pm-1:30pm: Beekeeper Class: Honey extraction lesson and DIY hand cream experience

There will be crafts and educational activities available throughout the day!

If we must cancel the program, you will receive a full refund. If we must reschedule the program, you will be offered the choice of attending on the new date or receiving a full refund. If you cancel attending the program on the original date, no refund will be issued.
