You can directly impact getting our small primates and Pongo the huge enclosure upgrades they deserve.

Our Vision:

This is a multi-phase project. With your contribution, we will first get some grass under the toes of our small primates with a new Monkey Dome! This has been a long time coming and we are so excited to make this happen. Stay tuned for the mock-up!

Next, funds are needed to give Pongo's enclosure a serious upgrade. Pongo deserves the best, please help us provide that for him.

Under New Management

As of August 2022, the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary has been under new management. Our first task was making sure each enclosure was clean and safe for every animal. Now, we are looking to raise capital to build our Monkey Domes. Monkey Domes are large structures that will give the primates a big space to play in and will be on the natural ground, allowing them to feel the grass and dirt under their feet. These animals deserve the world, and with your donation, we can give it to them.

About Us:

The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer-run organization. The Sanctuary provides a home to more than 100 animals, including chimpanzees, orangutans, monkeys, reptiles, tropical birds and more. Whether rescued from private pet ownership, the exotic pet trade, research laboratories, or retired from the film industry, the Sanctuary provides these magnificent animals with a safe haven where they can live with peace and dignity. With help from our community, through financial donations and volunteering, the Sanctuary is able to maintain a special place for primates, educate the public about zoological and environmental issues, and provide community service opportunities and educational internships.
