This campaign is built around two meaningful moments, six months apart.

We begin with an intimate birthday toast in January 2027, close to Lou's birthday; a warm, personal gathering to honor his memory and open this journey together.

From there, every contribution helps build momentum toward a flagship gala by Father's Day in June 2027: a larger celebration designed to bring people together and raise awareness and support for CTE and thyroid disease.

These aren't two separate asks. They're one journey of legacy, awareness, and impact.

Why CTE and Thyroid Disease Awareness Matter

CTE remains widely misunderstood outside professional sports circles, even though its effects can reach far beyond the individual and deeply affect families. A portion of this campaign's proceeds will go directly to the Concussion & CTE Foundation, supporting their research and advocacy work

Thyroid disease affects millions of people, and greater awareness, research, and support remain essential. A portion of this campaign's proceeds will go directly to the American Thyroid Association, supporting their research into thyroid disease diagnosis and treatment.
