Local news needs your support
Like media outlets across the country, the Portland Press Herald is working tirelessly to publish news about the coronavirus. Our reporters and photographers are in the community every day, tracking down and verifying information about this disease and its impact on the region. The impact of this global pandemic has brought the local economy to a near standstill. That new financial challenge means the Portland Press Herald must find new ways to fund this essential news coverage.
Many of you already subscribe, and for that, we are grateful. We now ask subscribers and non-subscribers to consider making tax-deductible donations earmarked for our coverage of this crisis. If you believe local, trusted reporting is critical, please donate to help keep us on the job.
Contributions to this fund will help pay for news resources to report on the broad impact on our communities, our economy and to investigate how well our leaders are responding to the crisis -- much of it exclusive reporting only found in the Press Herald.
Thank you for your support of the Portland Press Herald during this unprecedented time.
