Help Save Pressure: A Tiny Dog with a Big Heart Needs a Second Chance

We’re reaching out today for a very special little dog who urgently needs help.

Meet Pressure, now Pita— a 1-year-old pocket pittie mix weighing just 22 pounds. Despite her small size, her capacity for love is enormous.

Pressure came into the shelter after being picked up by a Riverside Sheriff — that’s how we even learned her name. From the moment she arrived, she’s shown nothing but a gentle, affectionate spirit. She constantly seeks comfort, leaning into people and trying to climb into laps just to be close. All she wants is love.

But Pressure is hurting.

When she first arrived, she had a noticeable limp and was started on pain medication. After two weeks with no improvement, further testing revealed something far more serious. X-rays showed that her right hip is subluxated, along with muscle atrophy and bone changes — signs of a long-standing, chronic injury.

This means Pressure will need lifelong pain management and may require surgery to give her the quality of life she deserves.

And yet… she hasn’t let any of this change who she is.

She is still incredibly sweet. Still trusting. Still reaching out for comfort, even while in pain.

Pressure deserves so much more than a kennel and a life of discomfort. She deserves a warm bed, proper medical care, and a family who will give her the love she so freely gives to others.

We rescued Pressure aka Pita, but we are raising funds to cover:

Veterinary evaluations and ongoing care
Pain management treatment
Potential surgical intervention
Recovery and rehabilitation support
