Pride in Healthcare 2026

I’m fundraising for OutCare because I believe LGBTQ+ people deserve healthcare that is safe, affirming, and easy to find — not something they have to fight for, guess about, or travel hours to access. As a queer healthcare provider and the founder of an LGBTQ-affirming medical practice, I see every day how much it matters when patients can walk into a visit without wondering whether they will be judged, misgendered, dismissed, or forced to educate their own clinician. I’ve cared for patients who delayed care because of prior discrimination, who could not find affirming providers in their area, or who simply wanted to know that the person on the other side of the exam room understood them. That is why OutCare’s work matters. OutCare helps connect LGBTQ+ people with affirming healthcare providers, supports education and training for clinicians, and builds visibility for care that is competent, respectful, and rooted in trust. This is especially important right now, as LGBTQ+ communities continue to face increasing barriers to care, misinformation, and political attacks on access to evidence-based healthcare. Pride is a celebration, but it is also a reminder that our community still needs real infrastructure, advocacy, and support. OutCare is part of that infrastructure. This Pride Month, I’m asking you to support my fundraiser for OutCare. Every donation helps expand access to affirming care, strengthen provider education, and make it easier for LGBTQ+ people to find healthcare they can trust.
