For years, the Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation has served as a cornerstone for our islands, fostering a community where every individual is seen, heard, and celebrated. Our organization remains committed to building a healthy and thriving environment through robust educational, social, and cultural programs that resonate across our LGBTQIA+ diverse community.

The Need for Sustainable Support

As we look to the future, the need for inclusive programming and community resources continues to grow. Consistent access to these resources plays an important role in the well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals, but sustaining and expanding this work requires a strong financial foundation.

At a time when nonprofits are facing increasing funding challenges—including reductions in government support and shifts in corporate giving—community support is more important than ever. This is why we need you! Your generosity helps us expand outreach, education, and cultural programming while keeping our programs, resources, and events free and accessible to those who need them most.

Our Vision for the Community

Your support makes Pride365 possible—our commitment to showing up for Hawaiʻi’s LGBTQIA+ community not just during Pride, but every day of the year.

Together, we’ve seen Honolulu Pride grow into Hawaiʻi’s largest LGBTQIA+ celebration and the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival reach record audiences while uplifting stories that reflect and inspire our community. Throughout the year, Kūpuna Movie Mornings, Rainbow Support Circles, and Rainbow Town Halls create spaces for connection, support, education, and belonging, while our expanding Safe Spaces Campaign helps more businesses and organizations become welcoming and affirming places for our community.

We are also investing in the next generation. Our Emerging Leaders Council provides mentorship and development for the future leaders of our community, while the Rainbow Legacy Scholarship and Rainbow Graduation ensure LGBTQIA+ youth have resources to succeed and safe spaces to proudly celebrate their achievements. Through QWI (Queer Women’s Initiative), we create opportunities for queer women to connect, lead, and thrive in life and business.

Every contribution helps us reach more people, strengthen these programs, and keep them accessible to our community. When you give, you’re helping create a Hawaiʻi where LGBTQIA+/MVPFAFF+ people of every generation can feel seen, supported, connected, and celebrated—365 days a year.

Your Impact and Our Progress

As our programs grow, so does the need within our community. To meet that need, the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation must continue to grow our annual revenue and build a stronger, more sustainable financial foundation—one that allows us to expand our reach while keeping our programs, resources, and community spaces accessible to all.

That is why we launched Pride Through Giving, a community-powered campaign that invites individuals, families, businesses, and partners to come together and invest in the future of our work. Every contribution helps us strengthen Pride365 programs, respond to emerging community needs, and continue offering meaningful opportunities for connection, support, and belonging at little to no cost.

We invite you to be part of this next chapter. Together, we can build a sustainable legacy of pride, aloha, and community—ensuring the Hawaiʻi LGBT Legacy Foundation remains a strong and trusted resource for generations to come. Please consider donating or starting your own fundraiser.
