Since 1876, the Princetonian has served the community of Princeton University by informing readers — and by providing a real-world experience in journalism, publishing, and entrepreneurship to generations of news and business staffers.

One of the things that makes the ’Prince’ so special is its independence. The Daily Princetonian is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization. It does not receive funding from Princeton University. It depends on revenue from operations, such as advertising sales — and on the generosity of supporters who donate to the ‘Prince’.

In this, our 150th year, we ask all alumni — and indeed, all who value independent journalism and the chance to support future generations — to support the ’Prince’ by making a donation. With your donation, you will bolster the continued financial stability of the ‘Prince’ and make possible opportunities for future generations of student journalists and entrepreneurs to thrive. All funds raised will contribute to The Daily Princetonian’s general operating reserve, which (among other things) supports stipends for committed staffers and editors on financial aid, the purchase of new equipment and technology for the newsroom, and training programs for staff. The reserve also ensures that unexpected financial needs will not threaten the paper’s future.

NOTE: If you are interested in making a gift of appreciated securities, or providing a donation through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) or a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA, please contact our team directly by emailing prince150gift@gmail.com. We can also assist with questions about corporate matching.
