Our STEM Education Initiative:

La Calle Real has limited access to modern STEM educational resources that give students marketable technical skills in coding, engineering, and design. Without exposure to these fields, students have fewer pathways to higher education or remote work opportunities that could bring lasting economic growth to their community.

In partnership with the Pathways to Prosperity's Nicaraguan community center, we're developing a Spanish-language STEM curriculum built around real, industry-relevant tools. Students will start with beginner-friendly platforms like drag-and-drop coding and TinkerCAD, then progress to industry-standard software like Python and Fusion360; the same tools used by professional engineers and developers. Physical resources like Lego robotics kits, Arduino boards, and 3D printers will let students design and build solutions to problems in their own community.

We're building this program in two parts: digital lessons that can begin remotely this semester, and physical tools and devices that we plan to deliver in person. Every laptop, kit, or license funded gets us closer to a fully equipped learning space where students can build real technical skills; skills that stay in the community long after our team leaves.
