CEHN leads the national movement for children’s environmental health and climate justice, ensuring all children—no matter their zip code—can thrive in environments free from harmful toxins.

The Challenge

Children bear 88% of the global burden of climate-related disease, with the greatest impact on low-income and under-resourced communities.

Across the U.S., kids are exposed to pollutants and toxicants in the places they should feel safest—homes, child care centers, and schools. CEHN works every day to change that reality.

Every month, CEHN convenes students, youth leaders, and early- and mid-career environmental health professionals for networking, mentoring, and shared learning.
We brought researchers together across 6 institutions, supported shared learning, and helped translate their findings into information that families and policymakers can use to protect children.
