Before Biscuit had a loving home with her sister Lola, plenty of treats, and lots of belly rubs, she was in the backseat of a car. Her human loved her deeply, but life had gotten hard. Living out of a parked car in the Florida heat, her owner struggled to care for himself, let alone a little fawn pug with allergies, breathing issues, and fleas. They shared everything—food, water, even a pillow. But love alone couldn’t fix Biscuit’s health problems. Her human made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her to Coastal Pug Rescue, hoping she’d find a better life. And she did. Thanks to a compassionate foster family, Biscuit got the care she needed. Her breathing eased, her coat softened, and her personality bloomed—snuggly, sassy, and a little bit bossy. Today, she’s the proud face of my Build It With Biscuit, a fundraising campaign to help Coastal Pug Rescue create a Safe Haven Shelter—a space for pugs in crisis when foster homes are full or help is urgently needed.
