Local news needs your support

Pulptown is covering all things related to COVID-19 and how everyone can collaborate to lift up our community.

These funds will help us continue to provide the city with essential coverage and curation during these uncertain times.

Here’s what you’re supporting in Orlando:

  1. Trusted reporting on the news you need to know. As Pulptown supporter Adrianna S. puts it: “I like that you make the news easy to digest for folks who may not follow the details daily or on their own.”
  2. Local stories that brighten your day, like this piece about “pandemic porchraits.”
  3. Actionable journalism you can use, like our guides on how to support our community right now and how to make the most of staying home.
  4. A friendly read to wake up to, featuring not just the news but the local memes, photos, and Reddit threads that Orlando is talking about.
  5. Fun (and safe, properly physical-distanced) activities like pitching-your-friend (virtual event coming soon!), online cocktail-making classes, or an Orlando crossword puzzle
  6. Real humans ready to hear your story ideas (that’s us!), and an approach to journalism that's about building conversation and understanding, not stoking fear.

Pulptown - COVID-19 Local News Fund is a program administered by Local Media Foundation, tax ID #36‐4427750, a Section 501(c)(3) charitable trust affiliated with Local Media Association.
