About Lifeline of Galveston County

Lifeline of Galveston County is a local nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to creating a future where healthy, treatable pets never lose their lives due to a lack of space or resources and our municipal shelters already at no-kill status have the ability to expand their reach. Since 2020, our team has helped thousands of dogs and cats through adoption, foster care, medical treatment, community support programs, and partnerships with local animal shelters.

We believe that every pet deserves a chance. Whether we're bottle-feeding orphaned neonatal kittens, providing lifesaving medical care, helping families keep their pets at home, or finding loving adopters for shelter animals, our mission is simple: save lives and strengthen the bond between people and pets.

Your participation in Puppy & Kitten Yoga directly supports these efforts. Every stretch, smile, and cuddle helps provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances for pets in need right here in our community.

Our Friends at Sundance Yoga

We are incredibly grateful for our longtime friends at Sundance Yoga and owner Valerie, who has been one of Lifeline's biggest supporters over the years. Valerie not only serves on Lifeline of Galveston County's Board of Directors, but she has also generously hosted countless Puppy and Kitten Yoga events that have helped raise critical funds for our lifesaving programs.

There have been times when these events have done more than support our mission...they have literally helped keep our doors open and the lights on. Valerie's belief in our work and her willingness to use her space to support rescue animals has made a real difference in the lives of thousands of pets.

As an added bonus, some very special guests may be joining us! Valerie has been fostering and bottle-feeding orphaned kittens for Lifeline, and her foster babies are expected to make an appearance during class. These tiny kittens represent the heart of what our organization does: giving vulnerable animals a second chance through the support of caring community members.
