The story of Purim tells us about a world turned upside down, where power is given to those who would abuse it and the fate of the most vulnerable hangs by a thread. In the face of this reality (which feels a lot like our reality today), our tradition responds – not with hopelessness or despair, but with action.

There are four mitzvot of Purim: to remember our story, to nourish each other, to carve out space for joy, and to take care of those on the margins. This holiday, we invite you to contribute to the Gaza Soup Kitchen.

Before this week, one Food Box from the Gaza Soup Kitchen that fed one family for one week cost ₪79 (Israeli Shekels) or $25 (USD). Today, that cost has tripled.
