Drew Haire, owner of RUD Fleet, a High Point-based logistics company located in downtown High Point, aims to break the Guinness World Record for the most push-ups in 8 hours. The current record was set in 2021 at 14,444 in Australia.

Haire uses April 7 each year to push himself to achieve ambitious goals with his last achievement on April 7, 2022 where he first attempted the push-up record and achieved 10,616 push-ups within 8 hours. In 2021, Drew ran 100 miles in less than 24 hours. This year, on April 7, 2023, a re-attempt of the Guinness World Record for the most push-ups in 8 hours will be held in inside his downtown business, RUD Fleet.

As an advocate for the High Point community, Haire has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater High Point. The non-profit helps fill the gap between school and home; providing positive mentorship and programs to children.

“I am excited that this event can make a big impact with children in our High Point community,” said Haire. “Foundational programs like the Boys & Girls Clubs help children find pathways to successful futures. I hope this event is successful in aiding in their mission, while setting an example to our youth to strive for your goals," continued Haire.

"This fitness challenge is a great parallel to our focus areas: Healthy Habits, Academic Success, and Good Character & Citizenship. We will be cheering him on April 7th," continued Niebauer.

The event will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will run for 8 consecutive hours, ending at 5:00 p.m and is open to the public.
