This year I will be running the half marathon in honor of my son Desi, a brave little boy who was very fond of the Justin Turner Foundation. Many great charities are participating in the LA Marathon Charity Challenge and I'm proud to say that I know my Desi's top pick to fundraise for without a doubt would be the JTF! I will be running to raise funds for their charity that is very near and dear to my heart. Desmond was my fundraising partner for this great cause in 2019 and 2020 but in 2021 he was a bit too ill to help fundraise and now in 2022 he will be cheering me on from above. Sweat and tears will definitely go into training for March 20th so I ask that you please keep my spirits lifted. The Turners go above and beyond for our community, I've seen it firsthand. We met the Turners in 2019 and they never stopped caring for Desi since day one. This half marathon will definitely be a challenge for me but I will be pushing through the 13.1 miles with Desi in mind as well as all the kids in our community that the Turners will be giving back to with the funds raised.
