Brickton Montessori was founded in 1986 with the backing of a group of committed parents and teachers. Brickton operated in the basement of a local church its first year; by spring 1989, our programs had outgrown the space. We moved to a nearby location on Chicago’s Northwest Side and have been there ever since. In the years to follow, the school has continued to grow, opening a Middle School in 2002 and a Nido (Infant) classroom to serve our youngest learners in 2018.

With an eye towards the future, Head of School Erica Lane and the Brickton Board of Directors have spent the better part of three years scouting out a permanent location for Brickton's growing community. Thanks to their combined efforts, a property has been found nearby which meets the criteria for a new school home. The new space allows our school to provide authentic Montessori education and enrichment opportunities for each student, including spaces for STEM programs and dedicated sports and extracurriculars.

By supporting our Capital Campaign, you are providing each student with access to expanded classroom spaces, greater capability for community efforts, special programming, and so much more.
