Peace Preparatory Academy exists because of a fundamental belief that every child is a seed of immense potential. For a seed to flourish, the environment must be as strong as the spirit within it.

The vision for Peace Prep is to see earth look more like heaven in English Avenue and the historic Westside of Atlanta. This is a commitment to a different story for students, one where potential is not choked out by the thorns of an unpredictable environment but is instead nurtured by a community of deep roots. This is the work of providing the stability and nourishment that allows a child to find their own path and flourish within their unique calling.

A Light Reclaimed

For twenty years, the English Avenue community, a historically significant African American neighborhood with deep roots in the Civil Rights movement, was left without a school. It was a community faced with severe systemic challenges; once known as the largest open-air heroin market in the Southeast and heavily riddled with crime. A generation of children grew up without an educational anchor in their own neighborhood until Peace Preparatory Academy opened its doors in 2015. We believe that a school is more than a building; it is a place of transformation; a signpost for the Kingdom of God and a promise to our neighbors that their children are worth believing in and investing in.

The Power of Deep Roots

Monthly support is the heartbeat of this mission. It provides the deep roots that keep this work anchored and the steady wind that keeps us on course even when the landscape of larger giving shifts. A goal of $50,000 a month in recurring gifts provides the commitment needed to plan with integrity, to grow with intention, and most importantly, to stay.

Long before the arrival of new real estate developments and the BeltLine expansion, we planted roots here to prove that education must be the heartbeat of true revitalization. A single seed of vision was sown in a neighborhood that many overlooked, believing that English Avenue could become a place of flourishing. Today, Peace Prep serves over 30 families and a max capacity of 72 students, with 85% residing within English Avenue or the surrounding Westside Atlanta area. More than 40% of our neighbors have an annual household income of less than $23,000.

The Gift of Presence ($25/mo): Provides the safety and restoration of mental health therapy for one student all year.
The Gift of Opportunity ($50/mo): Equips a student with the high-quality curriculum and technology needed to engage in deep learning and academic discovery.
The Gift of Nourishment ($100/mo): Removes the barrier of hunger by providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily.
The Gift of Whole Child Growth ($250/mo): Funds the arts, music, theatre, PE, and spiritual formation that cultivate a child’s spirit.
The Gift of Academic Intervention ($500/mo): Provides targeted math and reading intervention to ensure no student is left behind.
The Gift of Transformation ($1,000/mo): Provides a full annual scholarship for a student to attend Peace Prep, covering the complete cost of their holistic education.
The Gift of a Sustainable Future ($2,500/mo): Acts as a foundational gift that supports an entire grade level, providing the consistent resources and expert instruction necessary for students to reach their full academic potential.
