Our History

Founded to fill a profound void in servicing students with autism in traditional public schools, Autism Inspired is revolutionizing educational structures by creating a space for students with autism to thrive.

Autism Inspired Academy began as a camp in 2017, providing 8 students with Autism an enriching and safe environment to find a sense of belonging while affording parents the opportunity to acquire quality childcare during school breaks.

A Growing Concept

This concept quickly grew from 8 to 35 students. In 2019, AIA began a pilot program for a full-time school. With a temporary space in Tampa, Principal Harris bussed 12 students to and from the school room daily, ensuring students received the unique, challenging, and appropriate AIA education that became the foundation of the future school.

In 2020, the Clearwater location opened its doors to 28 students and families, forming the AIA community of learners. Now Autism inspired Academy is comprised of 82 students and more than 25 dedicated staff members, driven to improve the lives of students.

As we grow into our newly acquired building and space, AIA is dedicated to ensuring its student-centered philosophies are the unwavering foundation of our expansion.
