For more than 40 years, 211 LA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been Los Angeles County’s trusted resource for health and human services, and disaster hotline. Residents can call 2-1-1 for real-time disaster updates and assistance, 24/7.

As of January 27, 211 LA has supported over 41,000 Angelenos by delivering urgent relief, transportation, meals, and information. With the support of Airbnb.org, Hilton, American Express, and generous donors, 211 LA has provided short-term housing to over 17,000 households—totaling nearly 150,000 individuals who now have access to emergency housing.

Where will my donation go?

Donations will go towards matching evacuees with short-term housing, arranging transportation, providing meals, and care coordination to connect them with other essential services and support. A portion of the funds also supports the operational infrastructure necessary to coordinate and deliver these services, such as staffing, resource coordination, and data collection, so 211 LA can respond quickly and effectively to those in need. By covering both direct relief expenses and the organizational support behind them, we ensure every donation has the greatest impact for those affected by the disaster.
