StoryThe library has been built now and we are hoping to fill it with materials. Right now there are about 90 students in a class - 4 students sit at one desk. There are two textbooks total in the classroom and everything is written out on the chalkboard. Students must take notes if they want to study outside of school hours but many only have access to one notebook (in which they have to cram all notes for all subjects.) In order to graduate, high school students have to pass the same standardized test that all other Kenyan students take. They even take a computer test without ever having seen a computer. We're hoping that providing this library access to all students will give them the resources, materials, and space they need to be successful in their studies and hopefully find scholarships to further their education.
