A big thank you for supporting rabies-free India mission.
Our annual rabies vaccination drive to vaccinate 1000 street dogs has started.
Originally planned to kick off on International Rabies Day (September 28th), we had to postpone due to flood relief efforts in Vijayawada, monsoon rains, and logistical challenges.
But we’re thrilled to share that we’ve started the drive on November 15th, and on Day 1, we successfully vaccinated 90 dogs!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this life-saving initiative.

Update on Rabies Vaccination Drive
Dear Friend of SAFI, On behalf of everyone at Stray Animal Foundation of India, we would like to express our sincere thanks for your continued support of our rabies vaccination drive campaign.
Originally, the vaccination drive was scheduled to begin on September 20th. However, due to the recent flood relief work in Vijayawada that required our team’s immediate attention, as well as the ongoing monsoon rains and the availability of dog catchers, we have decided to postpone the drive until November.
This additional time will allow us to purchase the necessary rabies vaccines, coordinate signups, and efficiently map out the vaccination routes.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support, and we will keep you updated on further developments.
