Why electronic warfare (EW) protection is important?

Drones have completely changed the perception of warfare. The average lifespan of a piece of equipment on the battlefield without electronic warfare (EW) protection is only 20 minutes. russian occupation forces are constantly improving their drone tactics and working on enhancing their capabilities. On the battlefield, a deadly competition is often unfolding between two radioelectronic workshops—Ukrainian and russian.

Why are we raising funds for radio components?

To protect personnel and equipment from enemy strike drones, the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine is looking for your help to implement its own electronic warfare protection project, which requires procuring antennas, in addition to radio signal amplifiers we provided earlier. Your donation could help counter drones and save the life of a Ukrainian soldier, and your support might give them a chance to return to their family.

What will be purchased with the raised funds?

We will use all collected funds to purchase electronic warfare protection parts, such as radio antennas, signal amplifiers, casings, cables, cooling solutions and other electronic components that go into an electronic warfare protection system. The systems will be assembled and tested in the radioelectornic workshop of the 18^th brigade.

Who will receive the radio components?

The radio signal amplifiers will be delivered to Ukrainian Defenders in 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, that is performing missions on the front lines. Currently, the fighters are operating in the Donetsk direction, the highly contested Chasiv Yar area. This region in eastern Ukraine is among the most challenging, strategically important, and most threatened part of the front.

This project is a collaboration between Volya Radio and Sunflower Seeds Ukraine (https://www.sunflowerseedsukraine.org/) to help the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine with electronic warfare protection components.

We stay agile due to our small size, multinational team, and direct on-site contacts that we developed in 2014-2015, and adapted to the new realities in 2022.
