Show your support for the Shaker Heights High School (SHHS) Rowing Team during the 2025 Raider Rowing Ergathon!

For more than 25 years, SHHS has been rowing on the Cuyahoga River, developing world-class athletes and contributing to Cleveland's vibrant rowing community. Our athletes train year-round, from the fall head season to the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships in mid-May.

But rowing is an expensive and rigorous sport.

The annual marathon is our largest fundraising effort, collecting up to $12,500 to support our men's and women's high school novice and varsity rowing teams—the only public school crew teams in the region! Funds raised help maintain the fleet and make rowing accessible to all Shaker students.

The ergathon will take place on Saturday, April 19th, at Van Aken District. During the event, the team will be split into groups to erg (indoor rowing machine) a collective 47,500 meters (almost 30 miles). Stop by and see the athletes in action if you can! Parts of the event will be live-streamed on IG, providing an opportunity for our athletes to showcase their commitment to rowing and to engage with our supportive community!
