No one fights alone.

Rosey, the 2 year old daughter of Pekin Firefighter Nick Miyler, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. A malignant tumor that has affected her every day comfort, daily function, and sadly her ability to walk. She has started treatment to start shrinking down that tumor so it hopefully goes away and stays away. Rosey is a sweet, feisty little girl with a whole lot of fight in her, and right now she and her family are facing something no family should have to face alone.

The fire service has always been about showing up for one another. Not only at the station, but for our families, too. Now we have the opportunity to show up for one of our own.

As Rosey continues treatment, we want to come together to help ease some burden on the Miyler family so they can keep focusing on what’s really important. And that’s Rosey and helping her fight, heal, and get back to being a kid with her big brothers.
